Freeman Rink heading to Viterra Provincials

The Graham Freeman rink (Kevin Barkley, Cory Barkley, and Dwayne Barkley) battled through the B-side at the Souris Curling Club this weekend to capture 1 of 3 Westman Regional berths to the Viterra Provincials.

After beating 10-5 Perry Fisher in their game Saturday morning, they went on to lose to Brandon's Steve Irwin on Saturday evening in their first change to clinch a berth. They rebounded Sunday, beating Chris Wytinck (Glenboro) and Tyler Waterhouse (Carberry) to earn the patch.

Steve Irwin of Brandon and Kelly Marnoch (with Cromer's Branden Jorgensen) won the other two spots.
